Stupid Idiot Press is a self-publishing press sprouted from a desire to collaboratively create. Born in a small Washington, D.C. basement apartment in December 2022, Stupid Idiot Press was founded by Amanda McHardy and Jenna Banks – known privately as Stupid + Idiot, respectfully. Like any good parents, McHardy and Banks wished for their child to be unique – hence the quirky name. SIP seeks to work with visual art and artists to produce exploratory yet accessible zines. Emphasizing partnership and the mixing of ideas (while creating work that stay true to the visions of our artists!), SIP hopes to continue growing by interacting with art and artists in new and exciting ways.
